Job Summary
Assess patient daily living skills, administer diagnostic tests, and develop therapeutic retraining programs with measurable objectives. Confer with physicians and the care team to revise Plans of Care, then provide treatment and instruction to restore strength, coordination, and function in accordance with physician orders. Consult with vocational team members to implement vocationally oriented plans and design community reintegration activities for client adjustment. Recommend adaptive equipment, train staff and family members on hygiene and grooming skills, and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistant performance. Document all care observations, interventions, and evaluations thoroughly, submitting discharge summaries to care management.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
- Current and unrestricted OT licensure
- Current CPR certification
- A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of six months of occupational therapy experience preferred
- Home Health experience a plus
