Job Summary
Review completed rental applications and leases for accuracy, conformance to Resident Selection Policy, and regulatory guidelines. Process, complete, and maintain accurate resident files at move-in while assisting clients with interim and annual recertification paperwork. Exercise judgment and discretion in day-to-day contact with applicants, residents, vendors, and co-workers to ensure compliance with lease rules, Fair Housing requirements, and Equal Housing Opportunity standards. Maintain superb relationships with residents while managing occupancy for subsidized housing programs. Requires Tax Credit Specialist or Certified Occupancy Specialist designations, HUD experience, and minimum two years in related housing or social services.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with the general management of subsidized housing programs
- Relates well to people
- Exercises good judgment dealing with owners, employees, residents, visitors & vendors
- Excellent organizational skills
- Attention to details
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum two years' experience in related housing, social services or related field
- Tax Credit Specialist designation
- Certified Occupancy Specialist designation
- HUD designation or equivalent
