Job Summary
Conduct delegated clinical and administrative duties under physician or nurse direction, including TB skin tests, medication administration, blood draws, injections, immunizations, and vital sign checks. Prepare patients for examinations, position equipment, and assist physicians while taking medical histories. Manage clinic operations by scheduling appointments, maintaining x-ray and medical records, overseeing laboratory supply inventory, and performing back-office logs. Ensure safety by checking oxygen tanks and crash cart supplies, cleaning and disinfecting exam rooms, autoclaving instruments, and stocking medical supplies. Act as an assistant for prescription refills and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to safe work practices and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Licensed Medical Assistant
- Dependable transportation
- Automobile insurance
- Current CA Driver License
- Knowledge of CHDP guidelines
- Knowledge of Immunizations schedule
- Knowledge of AAP periodicity table
- Ability to exercise sound judgment
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
