Job Summary
Assess health status using advanced physical examination and medical history skills, design individualized care management plans, and provide obstetrical and gynecological care in inpatient, clinic, or office settings. Manage healthcare within mutually agreed protocols, identify abnormal findings early to initiate intervention, and support the cultural, psychosocial, and physical needs of the family unit. Function independently in a supervising physician's care setting while prioritizing tasks and demonstrating critical thinking. Participate on committees and research as appropriate, maintaining role model standards in all clinical and human relations aspects.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and approved to practice as a Nurse Midwife in the state of NC
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider from AHA
- Minimum 1 year as a CNM
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds
- Must speak English fluently and in understandable terms
- Must possess intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and finger dexterity
- Must have the ability to react and perform in stressful situations
