Locum Obstetrics/Gynecology physician needed near Sun Valley, CA to cover 3-4 days/week of OBGYN coverage in both clinic and hospital deliveries. Hours typically 9am-4pm, with possible start at 8:30am. On-call about 3-4 days per week (24-hour call 7am-7am; beeper). Work predominantly in clinic with inpatient hospital duties. Responsibilities include management of low- and high-risk pregnancies, FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE), OB ultrasounds (performance and interpretation), routine vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, VBAC management, breech and multiple birth deliveries, and complications requiring surgical repair (3rd/4th degree lacerations). Office/gynecology skills include IUDs, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, tubal ligation (LOAs), and major/minor gynecologic surgery (open and laparoscopic). Average deliveries per year: 214. Required certifications: ACLS and BLS. Credentialing within 90 days. EMR: Epic. Competitive hourly pay with housing, car rental & gas, parking, tolls, and malpractice tail coverage.
