Job Summary
Provide preventative care, prenatal services, and labor and delivery to patients, including managing pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum needs. Perform medical procedures such as pap smears, pelvic exams, and surgeries like cesarean sections and hysterectopies. Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other providers to deliver comprehensive care while maintaining accurate medical records and responding to urgent situations. Make telehealth services available when appropriate and refer patients to specialists as needed. Adhere to all center policies, billing procedures, and value-based purchasing programs while participating in clinical quality improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited school of medicine
- Current medical licensure in the State of Michigan
- Current controlled substance license
- Board certificated or board eligible in specialty
- Unrestricted and current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license
- NRP is required
- Acquires and maintains hospital privileges where deliveries and call services are performed
