Job Summary

Conduct primary healthcare services for Community Health Centers of the Central Coast, including securing and evaluating patient health histories, performing physical assessments, and administering treatments or vaccinations. Order and analyze diagnostic tests to diagnose conditions, perform minor surgery, and refer patients to specialists as required. Share on-call duties with other medical staff and adhere to infection control protocols and safety policies. Coordinate care with the Care Team, including follow-up calls post-discharge and appointment scheduling, while participating in quality improvement processes and committee work. Maintain HIPAA compliance and domestic violence/abuse reporting protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • Medical Doctor Degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of a residency training program in the field Family Practice, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN or Pediatrics
  • Board Certified or board eligibility
  • Current unrestricted and valid License - Physician and Surgeon or equivalent from Medical Board of California
  • Board Certified/Eligible Family Practice, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN or Pediatrics
  • Current unrestricted and valid DEA license
  • Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) for FP/IM
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) card for PEDS
  • Basic Life Support (BLS-C) card
  • Annual health examination
  • Annual TB skin test clearance or biannual chest x-ray
  • Up to date immunizations for health care workers

Desired Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) ability to speak, read, write Spanish
