Job Summary
Senior Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrar for the 2027 Clinical Year at Grampians Health Ballarat. The role involves primary operating under supervision with a general obstetrics and gynaecology focus, including skills in vaginal repair, vaginal hysterectomy, total laparoscopic hysterectomy, and abdominal hysterectomy, plus participation in ultrasound sessions and weekly DDU involvement. Opportunities exist for university teaching and involvement in research with international trials, and for transition towards general OBGY consultancy. The unit emphasizes clinical governance, risk management, infection-control adherence, diversity, patient-centred care, and staff development. The department performs numerous deliveries and theatre sessions weekly, with a supportive culture and flexible staffing including both full- and part-time applications.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent degree enabling registration with the Medical Board of Victoria
- 4 years of RANZCOG ITP training completed by the commencement of this position is preferred
- Successful RANZCOG fellowship oral and written examinations is preferred
