Job Summary
Ob/Gyn Hospitalist position at Cleveland Clinic Akron General New Life Center. Leads supervision of obstetric and acute gynecologic care across OB/GYN departments, responds to emergencies in the Obstetric Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, and perinatal safety, and coordinates admissions from Women's Health Clinic with backup support from Maternal Fetal Medicine. Works with residents and medical students, with a faculty appointment possibility at Northeastern Ohio Medical University. Typical schedule involves 36-48 hours per week across 12- to 24-hour shifts; flexible employment options (nocturnist, part-time) may be considered. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience; benefits package included. The role emphasizes clinical leadership, teaching, and academic activities related to the delivery of medical care in a Level 3 Perinatal Center serving ~1800 deliveries annually.
Required Qualifications
- board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- clinical experience to support hospital-based obstetrical and acute gynecologic care
- leadership and direction in patient care, professional and academic activities
- supervision of OB/GYN residents and medical students
- faculty appointment at Northeastern Ohio Medical University available
