Job Summary
Ob/Gyn Hospitalist role at Cleveland Clinic Akron General New Life Center (Level 3 Perinatal Center) overseeing obstetric emergency department, labor and delivery, and perinatal safety. Responsibilities include supervising OB/GYN residents and medical students, managing admissions from the Women’s Health Clinic and walk-ins, providing emergency and routine OB/GYN care, collaborating with Maternal Fetal Medicine for transfers, and offering OB/GYN consultations across the hospital. The position balances clinical and academic duties with a faculty appointment at NEOMED, and typical shifts range 12–24 hours with a 36–48 hour weekly schedule. Flexible options (nocturnist, part-time) may be considered; salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications
- board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- clinical experience in hospital-based obstetric and acute gynecologic care
- supervision of residents and medical students
- ability to manage admissions from Women's Health Clinic and unregistered/walk-in patients
- ability to provide OB/GYN consultations throughout the hospital
