Job Summary
Provide in-house 24-hour labor and delivery coverage for 7 shifts per month, serving as physician backup to Certified Nurse Midwives. Manage high-acuity obstetric patients, perform cesarean deliveries, and deliver emergent and urgent gynecologic surgical care. Collaborate with nursing teams and anesthesia to ensure safe, evidence-based care while maintaining quality and patient safety standards. Ensure timely, accurate documentation within the hospital EMR. This role offers focused, shift-based work without outpatient obligations, allowing exclusive focus on inpatient obstetrics and urgent gynecology within a collaborative, midwife-led model.
Required Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Active DEA
- Licensed to practice in Texas upon start date

- 5+ years of clinical experience preferred
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Trained in robotics
