Job Summary
Obstetric Hospitalist role focusing on Labor & Delivery coverage with 24-hour shift blocks. You’ll manage admissions and rounding, handle OB ED triage, perform or assist with scheduled C-sections and suction D&Cs, and accept transfers from outside hospitals. Collaborate with a Level III NICU team and Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists; ~2,800 deliveries annually. Competitive compensation includes base salary for six 24-hour shifts per month, additional shifts paid at $4,800 per 24-hour shift, a $15,000 starting bonus, up to $20,000 in relocation assistance, and comprehensive benefits including license reimbursement, malpractice insurance, and CME allowance. Requires MD/DO, OB-GYN residency, board certification or eligibility, Utah license, and BLS/NCC/DEA with credentialing readiness.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- ABMS board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license or ability to obtain one
- BLS
- NCC certification
- DEA
- ACGME-accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Ability to complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
- Minimum 2 years of experience
