Job Summary
Provide specialist clinical care for obstetric and gynaecological patients at the Health Campus and across the region. Deliver excellent clinical performance alongside two other specialists and three registrars, while participating in policy development and clinical governance reviews. Lead administrative initiatives in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Specialist of Maternity and support student teaching at the Rural Clinical School. Manage an on-call roster supplemented by three GPOs within a permanent full-time appointment of 80 hours per fortnight.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible for registration by the Medical Board of Australia
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in specialist practice as a General Obstetrician/Gynaecologist
- Ability to participate in Family Planning Services
- Demonstrated contemporary knowledge of professional issues and trends in Obstetrics and Gynaecological health services
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical governance within healthcare
- Eligible for or in possession of a current C or C-A Class driver's licence
