Job Summary
Observation Unit Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care for assigned patients in the Observation Unit according to established standards. Responsibilities include patient assessment, developing and implementing the plan of care, coordinating with health professionals, documenting care and outcomes, and participating in quality improvement. Requires an active RN license in Georgia and BLS; ASLS/NIHSS may be required within 2 years of hire for stroke unit assignment; unit operates nights and emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing from a state-accredited school (Required)
- Current Georgia RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) if on designated stroke unit (must be obtained within 2 years of hire)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) must be obtained within 2 years of hire
