Observation Medicine Physician

Observation Medicine Physician focusing on a dedicated Observation Unit with a protocol-driven approach to short-term inpatient care, working collaboratively with Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and specialty services to evaluate and disposition adult observation patients (typically <48 hours) with broad clinical conditions including chest pain, syncope, COPD/asthma, cellulitis, dehydration, and more. Role includes opportunities for academic activities with Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine, teaching medical students and residents, participation in quality improvement and protocol development, and potential for unit leadership/medical director responsibilities. Full-time, daytime hospital-based schedule with dedicated Observation Unit support and emphasis on efficient, high-quality care.
