Job Summary
OBGYN Physician opportunity in Surprise, AZ offering comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care. Responsibilities include clinical service delivery to obstetric and gynecologic patients, education and communication with patients, accurate medical-record documentation, coordination of care and transfers, timely patient evaluations, and ongoing credentialing/privileging. The role requires rotating call coverage for evenings, weekends, and holidays, and participation in CME (up to 40 hours/year) with credentialing/documentation maintenance. Essential surgical expectations include Cesarean sections, cesarean hysterectomy, suction D&C for abortions/retained products, cervical cerclage (option), external version (option), and a range of gynecologic procedures (laparoscopic tubal ligation, ectopic pregnancy treatment, hysterectomy options, colposcopy, IUD/Nexplanon insertion, LAVH/hysterectomy options, anterior/posterior repair, vaginal sling, endometrial ablation, etc.). Qualifications also specify graduation from an accredited medical school, U.S. OB/GYN residency, board certification/eligibility, valid AZ medical license, DEA certificate, CPR/AED certification, and a valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card; bilingual in English/Spanish and EMR/EHR experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited medical school program
- Completion of an accredited United States Obstetrical/Gynecological Residency program
- Board certified or board eligible
- Valid Arizona medical license
- Valid DEA certificate
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical methods and techniques
- Ability to meet and deal effectively with clients, associates and the general public
- Fluency in basic business English, spelling, and punctuation skills
- Basic computer efficiency

- Competency in dealing with people of various cultures and backgrounds
- Valid CPR and AED certification (American Heart Association/Red Cross)
- Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card for specialty behavioral health locations
- Experience in community health (preferred - 3 years)
- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems (preferred)
- Diverse obstetric/gynecologic surgical skills (CESA, tubal ligation, hysterectomy, D&C, hysteroscopy, LAVH, etc.)
