Job Summary
OB/GYN physician to join our team in Goodyear, AZ, providing comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care. Responsibilities include delivering OB/GYN medical and surgical services, educating patients, documenting care (paper/electronic records), ensuring continuity of care, and coordinating with the Medical Director. Clinical duties encompass minimum surgical expectations across OB and GYN procedures (e.g., Cesarean sections, hysterectomies, tubal ligation, D&C, colposcopy, IUD/Nexplanon, LAVH, laparoscopic hysterectomy, repair procedures, endometrial ablation), plus routine CME (up to 40 hours/year) and maintenance of credentialing/privileging. Requires participation in on-call coverage evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned. Essential skills include US medical training, residency in OB/Gyn, board status, valid AZ license and DEA, CPR/AED certification, EHR competency, cross-cultural communication, and strong documentation practices.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited medical school program
- Completion of an accredited United States Obstetrical/Gynecological Residency program
- Board certified or board eligible
- Valid Arizona medical license
- Valid DEA certificate
- Certification to perform CPR and AED (American Heart Association/Red Cross guidelines)
- Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by Arizona Department of Public Safety for all specialty behavioral health locations
- Fluency in basic business English, spelling, and punctuation
- Basic computer efficiency
- Ability to interact with diverse populations
- Valid AZ driver's license
