Job Summary
Elicit patient medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order diagnostic tests to diagnose conditions and treat diseases and injuries. Administer treatments and drugs, inoculate patients, and provide prenatal care, including deliveries and postnatal support. Report births, deaths, and disease outbreaks to authorities, refer patients for specialized treatment, and perform minor surgery. Conduct physical exams for school, job, or insurance eligibility, and handle house and emergency calls. Requires a Master's degree or four to ten years of experience, a Florida Medical License, BLS certification, and Board eligibility or certification in a primary care specialty. Bilingual status preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent
- four to ten years related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- State of Florida Medical License
- Ongoing BLS certification
- Board Eligible or Certified in a primary care specialty
