Provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynecological care to patients, including routine and complicated deliveries such as cesarean sections and vaginal births. Manage inpatient rounding for assigned patients and perform required procedures like amniocentesis, OB ultrasounds, and repair of third- and fourth-degree lacerations. Respond to on-call emergencies within 25 minutes via beeper, collaborating with nursing and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This 24-hour, 8a-8a shift covers a 15-bed department with an average daily volume of 10 patients and 360 annual deliveries. Board-certified physicians with NC licensure and BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required for this supplemental locum tenens coverage.
