Job Summary
OBGYN Hospitalist opportunity at Greenwich, CT in a major healthcare system. The role supports full-time appointments at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the Academic Clinician track. The Laborists work with a team of board-certified physicians, nurses and midwives to care for patients in the Labor and Delivery Unit, with responsibility for monitoring laboring patients and delivering unassigned patients. The position emphasizes collaboration with certified nurse midwives, teaching, potential participation in clinical research, and a focus on patient safety. Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts (2-4 days per week) is required.
Required Qualifications
- Board certified/eligible in general obstetrics and gynecology
- Superior surgical and operative vaginal delivery skills
- Experience demonstrating excellence in evidence-based obstetric care and teaching
- Experience in collaborating with certified nurse midwives and an interest in participating in and conducting clinical research are desirable.
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts (2-4 days each week)
- Experienced in monitoring laboring patients as well as delivering unassigned patients
- Direct record of safety
- Strong communication skills with patients and attending physicians.

- Education and Training: Medical School (MD or DO) from an accredited program; Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology
