Job Summary
Conduct full-time appointments as an Assistant or Associate Professor in the Academic Clinician track, managing 12-hour shifts across 2 to 4 days weekly. Deliver unassigned patients and monitor laboring patients while collaborating with board-certified physicians, nationally certified nurses, and midwives. Maintain a direct record of safety and demonstrate excellence in evidence-based obstetric care and teaching within a team that brings nearly 2,600 new lives into the world annually. Board certification in general obstetrics and gynecology with superior surgical and operative vaginal delivery skills is required.
Required Qualifications
- Board certified/eligible in general obstetrics and gynecology
- Superior surgical and operative vaginal delivery skills
- Experience demonstrating excellence in evidence-based obstetric care and teaching
- Experience in collaborating with certified nurse midwives
- Interest in participating in and conducting clinical research
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts (2-4 days each week)
- Experienced in monitoring laboring patients as well as delivering unassigned patients
- Direct record of safety
- Strong communication skills with patients and attending physicians
- Patient safety focus
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited program
- Accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology
