Job Summary
Manage a broad range of women's health issues including prenatal and postnatal care, clinical care coordination of obstetrical services, and gynecological care. Provide labor and delivery unit coverage including deliveries and support for some surgical procedures as a mix of outpatient and inpatient care. Perform competencies including IUD insertion and office ultrasound, with Nexplanon insertion desired, while managing moderate-to-high risk pregnancies. Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment under the supervision of covering OB/GYN physicians with a 1:4 shared call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- completed an accredited certified nurse midwifery
- two or more years of applicable women's health experience
- excellent clinical skills
- knowledge of low-risk pregnancy
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
- BSN/MSN
- successful completion of nurse midwifery program accredited by the ACNM
- Current license and registration to practice as a Certified Nurse Midwife as required in the State of Maine
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of labor & delivery experience
- Minimum 2 years of office experience
- CNM experience is preferred
- Competency with IUD insertion
- Competency with office ultrasound
- Comfort with moderate-to-high risk pregnancies
- Collaborative approach to patient care including working with OB/GYNs and all levels of clinical team
