Job Summary
Obstetric Surgical Technologist in the Family Birth Center providing intra-operative patient care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with preparation for surgery, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting a multidisciplinary health-care team. Requires graduation from an approved Surgical Technologist program and at least one year of OR experience; must read/write English and demonstrate asepsis knowledge, leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist program or Surgical Technology program.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Experience: Minimum of one-year current operating room experience (student experience allowed).
- Special Qualifications: Knowledge and understanding of basic principles of asepsis; simple biology; leadership qualities; ability to work independently; effective communication and organizational skills.
