Job Summary
Manage instruments, supplies, and equipment for obstetrical operations in the Labor and Delivery unit, anticipating surgeon needs and maintaining a sterile field. Perform patient care duties under the direction of a registered nurse while ensuring quality care during operative procedures. Requires a high school diploma, surgical technologist training or equivalent experience, and BLS certification. Full-time night shift positions available at Piedmont Walton Hospital, a 7-bed unit supporting 30–40 monthly deliveries with integrated OR and PACU capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate from a Surgical Technologist training program
- One year previous operating room experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist
- Three years of experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting
- BLS certification
Desired Qualifications
- NRP certification
- Completion of a fetal monitoring workshop
- Orientation to learn surgical asepsis
