Job Summary
Provide professional obstetric/nursing care for inpatients using the nursing process; demonstrate accountability, independent nursing judgment, and application of clinical knowledge to deliver quality patient care outcomes. Develop and implement plans of care, assess patient data for age-specific needs, ensure patient safety, provide education tailored to learning needs, and collaborate with an interprofessional team. Uphold the ANA code of ethics, integrate culturally sensitive care, and participate in practice advancement through ongoing learning and competencies. The role includes supporting growth in care for more complex patients and contributing to unit-level quality initiatives as described in the CAPE ladder framework.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date
- Less than 12 months of experience as a registered nurse
