Apply aseptic principles to maintain sterile environments and assist providers during operative procedures by preparing patients, draping sterile fields, and passing instrumentation. Perform appropriate instrument counts with the RN circulator, operate stapling devices under supervision, and maintain equipment while identifying items needing repair. Provide age-specific care to obstetrical patients, including venipuncture, obtaining vital signs, and transporting specimens. Organize supplies and equipment to ensure departmental efficiency. Maintain a safe, orderly environment for patients, co-workers, and self while adhering to all safety and legal requirements.
