Apply aseptic principles to maintain sterile environments and assist providers in operative procedures by preparing patients, draping sterile fields, and passing instrumentation. Perform appropriate instrument counts with the RN circulator, operate stapling devices for skin closure, and maintain equipment while identifying items needing repair. Provide age-specific care to obstetrical patients, including venipuncture, vital signs collection, specimen transport, and room turnover. Facilitate communication with departments, visitors, and staff while serving as a public relations liaison. Maintain a safe, orderly environment for patients and co-workers in adherence to hospital policies.
