OB Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care across the lifespan, including preventive, prenatal, and postpartum services for low-risk patients. Perform routine examinations, Pap smears, STI screenings, and office-based procedures such as IUD insertion and Nexplanon removal. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions while counseling patients on contraception, family planning, and reproductive wellness. Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic results, and prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations. Collaborate with physicians, Physician Assistants, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and improve clinical outcomes for underserved populations. Maintain accurate EHR documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Requires Master's or Doctorate degree, Illinois APRN license, and National certification as a WHNP-BC or FNP-BC.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Illinois Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license
- National certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC/FNP-C)
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum of 2-4 years of women's health and/or OB/GYN clinical experience
- Experience providing prenatal care, gynecologic services, family planning, and preventive women's healthcare
- Experience caring for underserved and culturally diverse populations
- FQHC or community health experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience with integrated behavioral health, value-based care, and population health initiatives
- Experience with EPIC, Centricity, or other electronic health record systems
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and patient education skills
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and patient-centered care
- Technological competency and proficiency with electronic medical records
