Assess, triage, and treat patients with a wide range of medical conditions in the inpatient unit while managing rapidly changing patient conditions. Provide obstetric care by assisting with vaginal and cesarean births, delivering postpartum care including breastfeeding support, and educating families on prenatal health and discharge instructions. Initiate life-saving interventions during obstetric or medical emergencies and maintain accurate documentation of patient care and interventions. Monitor vital signs, administer medications and IV therapies, and perform thorough patient assessments including maternal-fetal monitoring. Cross-train to the Emergency Department to assist as needed and communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
