Job Summary
The LVN provides care through the nursing process under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, directly assisting in patient care activities. Candidates must complete an I.V. Therapy course within one year of employment, have current licensure as an LVN in California, and maintain BLS certification upon hire. ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications are required prior to full patient care assignment. Cooperation with the healthcare team and participation in patient teaching are essential responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure to practice licensed vocational nursing in the State of California
- Current AHA BLS required upon hire
- Completion of I.V. Therapy course within one year of employment
- ACLS, NRP and PALS certification as required by Department
Additional Requirements
- These certifications must be completed before the 90 day provisional period
