Job Summary
PRN OB Hospitalist role in Carmel, IN. Board Certified MD/DO with 2 years of experience. Responsibilities include management of labor up to delivery as requested by generalist physicians, urgent postpartum care, providing back-up and consultation for midwifery services, caring for unassigned patients in OB Unit/ER, triage of all patients in the unit unless directly admitted, assisting in cesarean deliveries when requested, and communicating with Maternal Fetal Medicine on consults/actions. Role includes Level III maternity care, Level III NICU, and 24-hour OB anesthesia with on-site call coverage. Projected 2000 deliveries per year. Facility: Ascension St Vincent Carmel Hospital, Carmel, Indiana, Sunrise EMR.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN)
- MD or DO
- Indiana medical licensure or eligibility
- Experience: 2 years as an OB Hospitalist or similar role
- Sunrise EMR experience (preferred)
- Level III NICU experience (preferred)
- Advanced Life Support (preferred)
