Job Summary
PRN OB Hospitalist role focusing on labor management through delivery, urgent postpartum care, and back-up/consultation for midwifery services. Handles care for OB Unit/ER patients, performs triage for presenting patients, and assists in cesarean deliveries when requested. Communicates with Maternal Fetal Medicine on consults and actions; operates within a Level III maternity center with Level III NICU and 24hr OB anesthesia on site. On-site call coverage with projected high delivery volume (approx. 2000 deliveries/year) in Carmel, Indiana, within Ascension St. Vincent Medical Group. Requires 2 years of OB hospitalist experience and board certification in OB/GYN; sunrise EMR experience noted. Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary team in a nonprofit Catholic health system environment.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified OB/GYN MD/DO
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
- Indiana Medical Licensing Board credential required before hire date
- Advanced Life Support preferred
