Job Summary
OB Hospitalist role with 24-hour shifts in Carmel, IN. Provide management of labor up to delivery as requested, urgent postpartum care, backup and consultation for midwifery, care for unassigned OB Unit/Emergency Room patients, triage of patients, assist in cesarean deliveries when needed, and communicate with Maternal Fetal Medicine on consults. Works within Level III maternity center/NICU with 24-hour OB anesthesia coverage; projected ~2000 deliveries/year. On-site call coverage and integration within Ascension St. Vincent Medical Group to deliver high-quality obstetric care.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified OBGYN MD/DO
- 2 years experience as OB Hospitalist or equivalent
- Licensure/ Certification/ Registration: Indiana Medical Licensing Board credentialed prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required
- Advanced Life Support preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
