Job Summary
OB Hospitalist PRN position requiring Board Certified MD/DO with 2 years of experience. Responsibilities include management of labor up to delivery, postpartum care as requested, back-up for midwifery, care for unassigned OB patients in the unit/ER, patient triage, assisting in cesarean deliveries when requested, and communication with Maternal Fetal Medicine for consults. Role supports Level III NICU and 24-hour OB anesthesia; on-site call coverage with dedicated shifts in Carmel, Indiana within Ascension St. Vincent Medical Group. Licensure in Indiana required; ACLS preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required
- Advanced Life Support preferred (AHA or Red Cross accepted)
