Job Summary
Cover Family Birth Center and high-risk/unassigned patients at Legacy Mount Hood and Randall Children's, collaborating with in-house CNMs for low-risk care and C-section assistance. Manage gynecologic emergencies including miscarriage, ovarian torsion, and ectopic pregnancy across both hospitals. Support Maternal Fetal Medicine services, supervise OHSU residents, and provide backup for private practice colleagues as needed. Work 12 or 24-hour shifts starting at 7 am with weekend and holiday rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent with residency completed in OB/GYN
- Full OB scope of both low and high-risk pregnancies including NSVD, operative vaginal delivery, cesarean section, management of third stage labor, hemorrhage, level 1 ultrasound, repair of episiotomy and lacerations, VBAC
- Gynecology procedures including D&C, minor and major laparoscopy with adnexal surgery (oophorectomy, cystectomy, salpingectomy, ectopic), tubal ligation (laparoscopic and postpartum)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB-GYN
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Oregon
- Current BLS from the American Heart Association
