Job Summary
Manage labor and delivery services across Hoag Newport Beach and Irvine, directing triage to the 5th floor and coordinating care within 18 private suites and three operating rooms. Provide 24/7 obstetrics coverage on 12- or 24-hour shifts, participating in roughly three call days per month for deliveries. Collaborate with anesthesiologists, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and Magnet nursing staff to support high-risk pregnancies, Level 3A NICU needs, and postpartum recovery in dedicated birthing suites. Utilize Epic EMR for documentation while ensuring skin-to-skin bonding during the golden hour.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. Degree
- Graduate from an ACGME program
- Active California medical license or ability to obtain California medical license
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Hoag Hospital
