Job Summary
Full-time OB/GYN physician sought to diagnose and treat obstetric and gynecologic patients within Women’s Health Connecticut. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive examinations, developing and implementing patient management plans, ordering or performing therapeutic procedures (injections, immunizations, basic wound care), counseling on compliance with treatment regimens, family planning, and health maintenance, following hospitalized patients as appropriate, gaining competence with Electronic Medical Record systems, and handling billing during office visits. The role involves serving across two clinical locations, providing equal call coverage, and affiliating with The Hospital of Central Connecticut. Qualifications include MD or DO from an accredited medical school, board certification or eligible status, Connecticut license, federal and state controlled substances licenses, and BLS certification. Strong communication and patient-service skills are required, along with the ability to obtain hospital privileges and contribute to a collaborative clinical team.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in OB/GYN or Women's Health
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board certified or board eligible
- Connecticut License
- Federal and State controlled substances licenses
- BLS certification
- Effective communication (verbal and written)
- Hospital privileges eligibility
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Ability to diagnose and develop patient management plans
- Knowledge of fetal growth and age-specific patient needs
- Ability to provide patient counseling and family planning guidance
