Job Summary
Examine, diagnose, treat, and refer patients on an in-patient and/or out-patient basis while prescribing medications and treatment regimens. Maintain electronic medical records with thorough documentation, ensuring encounters are closed within 24 hours. Review lab and x-ray reports timely to make medical management decisions and refer clients for appropriate specialty, lab, and ancillary services. Complete chart audits and participate in health promotion programs, meetings, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Train, mentor, and supervise students and clinical support staff. Take after-hours and weekend calls on a rotation basis. Ensure assigned providers meet productivity standards and maintain 94% or above patient satisfaction survey scores.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited Medical School
- Current unrestricted license to practice Medicine in the State of Texas
- Annual continuing medical education as required by Board specialty
- Current DEA and other such certificates to legally operate as a physician in the State of Texas
- Hospital privileges at designated area hospitals if required for specialty
- Finger Dexterity: Using fingers to make small movements such as typing or picking up small objects. Normal fine and gross motor control of fingers and hands.
- Talking: Frequently conveying detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, clearly, or quickly.
- Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information; hear whispered voice at five (5) feet.
- Repetitive Motions: Frequently and regularly using the wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Visual: Visual acuity necessary for the proper evaluation of a patient and to prepare or inspect documents or other materials. Ability to accurately view computer monitors
- Physical: Sitting 20-30% of time and standing, walking 70-80% time. Lift up to 25 lbs; push and pull up to 45 lbs. Able to bend at the waist, twist and turn along axial plane.
