Job Summary
Collaborate with local obstetricians to ensure every pregnant woman presenting to the hospital is evaluated by an experienced physician, eliminating nurse-led phone triage. Serve as the in-house maternal safety champion by assisting with emergent cases, caring for unassigned patients, and overseeing residents. Improve patient safety, reduce maternal mortality rates, and alleviate physician burnout through quality improvement initiatives and strategic collaboration with hospital leadership and the local OB community. The role offers 21+ days off per month, no clinic or on-call, and a competitive compensation package with productivity bonuses and a sign-on bonus. Located in Covington, this position blends active OB hospitalist care with meaningful leadership and program development opportunities.
