OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary
Provide OB/GYN care within a shelter health center setting, performing pelvic exams and pap smears, preventive health screenings, TB testing, immunizations, HIV testing, chronic disease monitoring, and specimen collection. Responsibilities include writing prescriptions or facilitating medication access, coordinating referrals with social services and DOHMH, participating in case conferences and CQI/JCAHO activities, and maintaining patient confidentiality and professional ethics. Requires NY WHNP licensure, board certification/eligibility, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience; bilingual能力 a plus. Collaboration with the Medical Review Team, Shelter staff, and other health system partners is essential; on-call duties and private-practice-style clinical activities within the satellite health center are included.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to practice as a WHNP in New York State
- Experience and/or training in a community health center setting
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Bilingual (Spanish, French, Haitian Creole) a plus
- Computer literacy/proficiency required
- Board Certified and or Board eligible
- Minimum of 2 years' experience
