Job Summary
Provide 24-hour onsite labor and delivery coverage as part of a busy OB/GYN Laborist team in Federal Way, WA. The role includes seven 24-hour onsite shifts per month, collaboration with CNMs and ER coverage for GYN emergencies/surgeries, and a mix of gynecology and obstetrics including high-risk obstetrics and gynecologic surgeries. Board Certified or Board Eligible status is required, along with WA medical license at time of employment and BLS certification. The position is based in the Puget Sound region with access to Level III trauma care, lactation support, and related multidisciplinary resources.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN physician
- WA medical license or eligible to obtain one at time of employment
- BLS for Health Providers certification (American Heart Association)
- 7x24-hour onsite shifts per month (laborist coverage)
- Experience with labor and delivery coverage and collaboration with CNMs
- Ability to provide 24-hour onsite labor and delivery coverage and ER coverage for GYN emergencies/surgeries
- Experience in high-risk obstetrics and gynecologic surgeries preferred
- Hospital privileges and credentialing in Washington state
- Strong communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary care teams
