Job Summary
Provide in-house coverage for Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and gynecologic inpatient services; perform emergency gynecologic surgical care as needed. Shifts occur at WakeMed Cary Hospital with a Level 2 NICU and Da Vinci robotic system for major GYN procedures. Full-time 12- or 24-hour call shifts with one weekend of call per month; part-time options available. Expect approximately 15-20 deliveries per month. Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree in obstetrics/gynecology
- Board-certified or board-eligible in obstetrics and gynecology
- Active medical license in North Carolina or ability to obtain
- Hospitalist experience preferred
- Ability to perform in-house coverage for Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and gynecologic inpatient services
- Emergency gynecologic surgical capability
- Experience with high-volume Labor & Delivery units considered a plus
- Ability to work 12- or 24-hour call shifts, with at least one weekend per month
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
