Job Summary
OB/GYN Hospitalist opportunity at South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City, FL. Responsibilities include caring for pregnant women from triage to postpartum, monitoring labor, delivering babies, performing surgery and surgical assists, and providing consultation to the ED. You will collaborate with local obstetricians to ensure consistent, high-quality care, support private practice physicians with coverage, and participate in leadership pathways toward Site Director or Medical Director of Operations. The role emphasizes a clinician-centered environment with a comprehensive benefits package and a schedule of typically eight 24-hour shifts per month, with no on-call duties and substantial personal time. The position is open to International Medical Graduates with J1 or H1B visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a licensed physician in obstetrics/gynecology
- Board certification in OB/GYN or eligibility for certification
- Experience as a hospitalist or in-hospital obstetric care preferred
