Job Summary
Monitor labor, deliver babies, and perform surgery or surgical assists for all pregnant women presenting emergently, regardless of circumstance. Evaluate and treat triage and postpartum patients while providing consultation to the ED and supporting private practice physicians with coverage and assistance. Cultivate relationships with staff nurses and hospital personnel to ensure every patient receives care from an experienced physician. This role includes no on-call duty or administrative tasks, featuring eight 24-hour shifts per month with guaranteed availability.
Required Qualifications
- OB/GYN Hospitalist
- Exceptional clinical skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Passion for healthcare quality improvement
- Ability to handle any obstetric emergency
- Experience working collaboratively with local obstetricians
- Ability to care for every pregnant woman who presents to the hospital
- Ability to care for all pregnant women who present emergent
- Ability to care for unassigned patients
- Ability to evaluate and treat triage patients
- Ability to provide consultation to the ED
- Ability to monitor labor
