Job Summary
Manage Maternal Health Access Program deliveries and unassigned OB/gynecology patients presenting through the ED. Provide 24/7 coverage with an average of six twenty-four-hour shifts per month, facilitating patient care for community physicians on Labor and Delivery. Offer occasional first assist for cesareans, initial care in acute situations, and triage support while managing emergencies in both obstetrics and gynecology. Practice evidence-based care in a collaborative manner, advancing quality, safety, and operational efficiency initiatives. Report to the Medical Director within the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine's Senior Staff faculty appointment structure.
Required Qualifications
- OB/GYN Hospitalist
- Primary management of Maternal Health Access Program deliveries
- Unassigned OB and gynecology patients presenting through the ED
- Facilitate patient care for community physicians on Labor and Delivery
- First assist for cesareans
- Initial care in acute situations
- Triage support
- Comfortable managing emergencies in both obstetrics and gynecology
- Flexibility to work in a supportive role when appropriate
- Practice evidence-based care in a collaborative manner
- Champions for patient safety and health care equity
- Faculty appointment and academic rank commensurate with experience
- Senior Staff status
- Member of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine's Senior Staff
