Job Summary
Manage labor and delivery, postpartum, obstetric emergency department, and gynecology consults while supervising resident physicians, CNMs, medical students, and other learners. Perform hands-on clinical care and assist with concurrent deliveries and obstetrical emergencies within a multidisciplinary collaborative team. Balance day and night shifts, including 24-hour rotations, with an emphasis on night coverage in a busy acute care environment. Maintain faculty appointment through the University of Colorado School of Medicine and engage in resident and fellow education.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited OB/GYN residency training program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (cert required within 3 years) by American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Eligible for licensure in the state of Colorado
- Eligible for privileges at Denver Health Medical Center
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from the American Heart Association
- Regular, reliable, consistent, and punctual attendance
- Ability to work standard hours/shifts
- Ability to work flexible hours before and after standard hours/shifts
- Ability to work overtime or in excess of 40 hours in a work week
