Job Summary
Academic OB/GYN faculty position at the University of Iowa Health Care with responsibilities including instruction and supervision of residents and medical students in inpatient and outpatient settings; staffing obstetric unit, supervising benign gynecology team, and resident continuity clinic; providing outpatient care with in-house and back-up call overnight and on weekends; rounding on antepartum and postpartum patients and gynecologic patients; providing obstetric and gynecologic consultations to ED and inpatient services; opportunities to participate in obstetric/gynecologic quality initiatives, clinical informatics, and research; strong teaching and collaboration within a large academic department with subspecialties and robust residency/fellowship programs; competitive compensation and CME allowances.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- ACGME-accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- ABOG board eligible or certified
- licensure eligibility by Iowa Board of Medicine and licensure prior to employment
- excellent clinical and surgical skills
- strong patient management and communication skills
- demonstrated teaching skills
- commitment to team-based care
