Job Summary
Conduct 50/50 OB/GYN rotations between the hospital and clinic on a per diem basis, working with a group of three full-time and two per diem physicians to manage approximately 7-10 days of coverage monthly. Deliver patients annually while adhering to a rigorous on-call and call-back schedule that includes a 24-hour weekday call lump sum and additional compensation for weekend coverage. Provide safe, efficient care to patients and their families using the Epic EMR system within the scope of your license and current standards of care.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited School of Medicine
- completion of Internship/Residency Program in area of specialty
- Computer experience
- Licensed to practice as a physician in the State
- board certified or board eligible
- Drug Enforcement Admin Federal Number
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- Basic Life Support
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical management of patients
- Maintains current knowledge and skills with continuing education
- meet all training requirements for specific department
- Able to work varied hours; rigorous on-call and call-back schedule
- Must not be a practitioner excluded from participation in the Medicare or Medicaid program
- Certification in BLS, ACLS or PALS
- Vision and hearing required within normal limits
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
- Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices
- Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures
- Ability to move around area with frequent sitting
- Bending/ stooping / reaching occasionally
- Lifting (non-patient) up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently
- Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles
- Time spent on site in medical/hospital setting
