Job Summary
Manage antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and interconceptional care for patients with normal progress, overseeing immediate mother and newborn care. Develop patient care plans with clear, measurable goals, identifying problems, symptoms, and behavioral changes to prioritize appropriate nurse-midwife interventions. Collaborate with patient care team members to determine care priorities, clarify standards, and revise plans as patient needs change. Administer direct patient care following established protocols, ensure optimum care including Centering Pregnancy prenatal models, and document all aspects of care. Provide clinical instruction and supervision in basic courses when faculty needs temporary assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- A master's degree in nursing
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia or a current temporary permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia
- Certification by the American College of Nurse Midwives
- BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications
