Job Summary
Set up dining room tables with silverware, napkins, plates, and beverages before resident meals. Replenish condiments and serve meals while assisting with menu item preparation as directed. Clean dining areas and kitchens after meals by disposing of waste, wiping surfaces, and sanitizing place settings and utensils. Vacuum dining areas and mop kitchen floors as needed. Transport trash to disposal areas and maintain a safe workplace by reporting hazards. Read and follow written and oral instructions while attending mandatory trainings and staff meetings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions including some calculations
- Basic knowledge of attractive food service, sanitation, and safety
- Manual dexterity required to operate modern office and dietary equipment
- Tolerate potential exposure to blood, body tissues, and fluids with occasional exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Attend and successfully completes all mandatory trainings
- Attend all required department events, staff meetings, and any other job-related functions
- Ability to work with people with physical and mental disabilities including those using profanity, derogatory language and the like
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience as a Dietary Aide preferred
